For pointing out that I don’t update that often. So erm big news. Today I got my first pay check from work. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Yay for me. I saw it and I was like good jeez. =-o It’s a lot. Well to me it is. So yea. I bought Snatch the special edition and a new usb drive on Amazon. Because you know, the money was burning a hole in my pocket.

I like my job so far. It’s fun and I get to learn from the people around me about graphic design, web design, and marketing. I got to work on some artwork that will be printed and sent out to companies, too. I also like that I only have to deal with my coworkers, who are real nice people, and I don’t have to deal with customers like how I would if I worked at a store or something. I like just sitting and getting into my work. Which so far has been interesting. I mean I’m doing vectors I wouldn’t have normally done and I’m learning more code in Flash. Plus my boss likes my artwork a lot. That’s a plus.

This past Monday was my 2 month anniversary with Alberto. We shall celebrate this on Saturday. I wanna get him something. I just dunno what. He’s so unbelievably great. It’s ridiculous. Tomorrow I gotta give him a million kisses because we had a practically no-kiss day last week. Got to make up for that. Hehe. Because of him I got this flippin awesome game called Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It’s like an anime, mystery, puzzle, and Case Closed game combined. I’m pretty close to beating it.

Well I should start my homework. I just posted because Google Reader tried to make me look bad.

C Is For Cookie

Big News!! I have a job now. Thanks to my boyfriend and his brother :-P. Woo. I’m still quite nervous about my first day (which is tomorrow) but not as much as before. It all happened so quick though. I know I mentioned in the previous post that I was gonna meet his brother and show him my artwork. Well I did that on Monday and then the next day he told me I got the job. Sooo fast. Now I’m trying to decide what to wear on my first day of work :-P.

In other news, Nick and I finally joined the gym and we went on Tuesday and Thursday. I wanna go today but that’s completely up to him since I know he’s upset about a certain event. For me, working out helps me clear my mind but I dunno if it’s the same for him. Maelle might come over later, too so we can drink and talk like bitches. That’s what we keep saying. We have a lot of drama to tell each other so this shall be fun.

Yesterday I got to spend time with my Al-burrito. He’s so cute :). Like a million types of cute times 100. I’m incredibly lucky to be with him. We played some Warioware and hung out for a bit and then went to Miryan’s job to eat. Oh and then we had our first Mall outing. Woo. That’s when I realized that I can’t buy clothes with men lol. I do the same thing when I go shopping with Nick. It’s so hard to buy stuff for some reason. But I did end up buying Nick a shirt to cheer him up a bit. I’m better at buying other people gifts with guys but not for myself. I shop better with Misha or Maelle.

Erm….what else…..Oh yes. I got like a ton of new books. I bought this book called Candy which I will soon talk about and Alberto’s parents bought me this book called Vintage Jesus and an extremely pretty bible to read along with it. And Alberto gave me this one book that he had read before and thought I’d like called Pretty Little Mistakes. So far I read a little bit of Vintage Jesus which is good but I started reading Candy first so I got more into Candy. It’s too hard to read two books at once so I’m gonna finish this book soon and then start Vintage Jesus. Candy is an odd book. It sort of reminds me of the Sex and the City book which is more cynical and drug filled than the show. It’s about this girl that I can’t believe I completely forgot her name lol. But yea she’s basically trying to find and understand love throughout the whole book while in the midst of things she sings and gets addicted to drugs and what not. At first I thought the way the book was set up is weird with the dialogue but after a while you get use to it and can really enjoy the story.

Cuz Your Face Told Me To

I can’t remember what I last posted about, nor do I feel like checking. So Me and Alberto celebrated our one month anniversary last Thursday by hanging out and playing video games. It was fun. As a matter of fact I spent the day with him yesterday. That too was very much fun as well. His brother told me about an opening where he works where I could possibly be getting a job so right now I’m looking through my artwork to show him some stuff. I’m crazy nervous though because well….that’s just how I am. BLAH.

So I got my first debit card this week. It’s so pretty and gold. And I’m studying to take my Road Signs test to get my permit. Woo. Hopefully that’ll go well. I’m trying to accomplish a lot of goals now. I feel like I got sucked into my school work and as much as I love doing good work at school….it was all I was focusing on besides Alberto. I think I need to work toward more goals to keep me alive so I’ve made a list and put it on my desktop so I won’t forget. I don’t want to waste my life away doing nothing. I’m trying to break my major goals into parts though because things like “Get my license” is too broad for me. So I broke it up into reading the manual, getting a permit, practicing driving, and then taking the test. I’ve done that for all my big goals. I’m still trying to get Nick to join the gym with me. I mean I’ll be helping him pay for it, too so it’s not like I’m a moocher As much as I like saying the word.

But yea…I dunno what else to blog about. I wanna get Guitar Hero III like….RIGHT NOW lol. But that will have to wait. Until then though.

A Little Late

I try to update every Sunday but I guess it slipped my mind. Well my black people book finally came in the mail yesterday :D. Eric Jerome Dickey is one of my favorite authors. This book is just as good as the rest, but it’s nothing new. I kind of wish it was a little more different. I can expect all his stories to be set in L.A. and have the main characters be from the south and be right on for the most part. However, it is very drama filled which is always great :D. I mean by the 3rd chapter you already find out that some interesting details about the husbands affair. I’m not giving away much since the book is called The Other Woman. What else would you expect from that title.

In other news, I found out that my Aunt and Uncle want me and my brother to be the god parents of their new child Luke. I call him LuLu…hehe. That’s a picture of my other baby cousin Aaron (their first child together) and Luke :D. He’s so cute and very chinky eyed. So this means I get to go to New York to see them soon for the Christening. Wooo I can’t wait. I miss New York a lot.

So I’ve been PMSing like crazy these past few days and I finally got my period today. I always feel highly blah right before I get it. So hopefully now that it’s finally here I can return to normal. But I was getting highly…erm contemplative would be the right word….while I was PMSing. I hate that. I hate over thinking and over analyzing things and people but nevertheless I kept doing it these past few days and making myself feel paranoid and blah. Again hopefully that’ll change soon. I still feel like punching babies though. Damn period….>: (

J’ouvert Tonight

Yeap I’m going to J’ouvert tonight with my brother, his girlfriend, her cousin, one of my bestfriends, and her sister. Wooo. This will be my first time going to J’ouvert. I plan on getting real messy. For those that don’t know….J’ouvert is a party that they have in Trinidad two days before Ash Wednesday. They have it up here, too. I’m going to the Gen-X one tonight. They basically just play soca music and throw mud, paint, and powder on people. It’s really fun/messy.

Well I should update about the goings ons with me since I last posted here. Erm V-Day was blah for me. I had no one at the time. I did however start talking to someone and his name is Alberto :). I started talking to my brothers friend from college and now we’re going out. Fast right?? Lol I know but he’s amazingly awesome. I’ve liked him for quite some time really. I think since I went to this Def Jux concert with my brother and his friends. We talked on and off since then but I always thought there was this rule that you can’t date your brothers friends. If that rule really does exist then F#$% it cuz now we’re going out. >: ) I could go into immense detail about how this happened but well that requires me to not be lazy and I just can’t do that. So yea. My brother knows and he’s okey with it. I mean at least I’m not dating some random dude. He’s been friends with Alberto for years. They went to college together. That’s a first actually. My brother usually can’t stand my boyfriends and constantly makes fun of them. Well he still makes fun of Alberto but they’ve been making fun of eachother before we started seeing eachother so it’s okey.

As for school, I finished my midterms thank god. I’ve yet to check my grades for that though. I will later. Erg I don’t feel like writing anymore.

Once Again

I’m flippin sick. I’m growing very tired of this sick crap. My chest feels weird again and that’s definitely not a good thing since I have asthma and it gets bad when I’m sick. Hopefully I’ll feel better soon. This is a horrible time to be sick though. I mean I have to work on some serious midterms and it’s not the most fun thing to do when your sick. Erg.

I’m currently working on a logo for my Mom’s friends company. I’m also contemplating on doing this flash site for free. I mean it might lead to them hiring me on to their team and getting paid but I just don’t know if I should do it. It’s for this rapper whom I like but is that enough to do a site for free??

OH oh oh. I’m not looking forward to Valentine’s Day since I got no one to cuddle. Lol sounds pathetic. It’s just a made up holiday but I haven’t spent a Valentine’s Day with someone since 10th grade. =-o. However, I do wish nothing but the best for those fortunate enough to have someone to love and spend time with on that day. Well I got stuff to do.

It’s Been A While

Since my last post….Well I’ve been dating….crazy people that is. lol. Well I dated this one guy recently for a little bit. He turned out to be overly obsessive though. So blah to that. I’ve been busy with school lately. I have a bunch of projects to do and so little time to do them in. I have to do a flash site with audio and audio cues, a website, another small website, and I have tests for my midterm and finals. On top of that I still teac my old art teacher from high school how to use photoshop and now I’m teaching my brother how to make websites. I also want to work in my schedule to start doing more pilates because I feel HUGE lol. Blah.

Last weekand I went to go see this comedian, Russell Peters. He was really funny and the Philipino guy that went before him was really funny too but I forgot his name. Russell is an Indian guy from Canada. He made fun of the audience for most of the show. It was so funny. The show was at the Miami Improv and it was really nice there. Plus they didn’t ID us so I got to drink real strawberry dakari’s for once. I felt like a 21 year old. Lol it was awesome. Tonight I’m going to Trini Nite which is a party thrown by Scruples. Hopefully I’ll have a good time. Trini Nite has been going down hill lately but whatever. I figure it’s only $10 to get in so it’s not like I’m losing much if it sucks. I have new artwork I shall post up in the Art section. I gtg byeee.

The New Year

I don’t think I did a post after Christmas so here we go….My Christmas was good. It was quiet but good. Everyone loved the gift I got them and I got some great gifts, too. My three favorite have to by my Archos, DS Lite, and my black ankle boots. Ok if you don’t know what an Archos is then here is what it looks like

It’s basically like an iPod touch but with more space and it uses Opera and WiFi like the Wii. I also like the fact that it has the option of using buttons if you don’t want to completely rely on the touch feature which I don’t think the iPod touch has.

My DS Lite is dumb sexy, too. Lol It’s pink hehe.

I got two games for it. Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Avatar The Burning Earth. I beat both of them already lol. I beat the Zelda game before New Years and I got it on Christmas so I basically spent most of my break playing that. It’s a really fun game. The Avatar game took some getting use to because unlike the Zelda game it doesn’t use the touch screen as much but once I got use to it it was really fun. It’s just that it was a lil on the short side. I beat that one really quick.
My ankle boots are flippin great. Erg I can’t get over how great they are lol. If I could I’d rape them, they’re so sexy. lol Wooooo
I also got some perfume, bath and body works stuff, pajamas, a external hardrive, make up, and clothes. So my Christmas was pretty damn good.
My New Years was fun, too. I went to the beach with my brother and his friend. They had a mini version of the New Years ball at this one restuarant so we got to see the ball drop. We mainly went out because I needed a reason to wear my new dress lol. It’s so pretty. After we got some gyro platters from this Greek restuarant. They were delicious.
Oh and I feel the need to make a movie review/recommendation in each of my post since I watch a new one like every week lol. So my recommendation for this week is The Bourne box set. My favorite of the three is the third one but they’re all great and very action packed. I think I’m in love with Matt Damon now lol. So yea if you’re looking for some great fight scenes, clever storylines, and great acting then go watch any of the Bourne movies.
I start my new semester tomorrow and like normal I’m nervous. Erg, so wish me luck.

Christmas Is Coming Up

Christmas is almost here and Florida is being a bitch. The weather is hot again. I guess it’s not that hot but I still wish it was cold. Speaking of cold, both my mom and my brother are sick so I hope they get better soon. Woo tomorrow is Christmas Eve. Woo.

I watched I Am Legend today with my brother. It was a little scary at some parts but overall it was a really good movie. Will Smith is such a good actor and he’s freakin hot lol. Good jebus he’s hot. There’s one part of the film that made me really sad but I don’t wanna ruin it for whoever didn’t watch it. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good entertainment with a meaning. Oh and if you want a good laugh, you should rent 40 Year Old Virgin. I’ve been watching it on USA every day this weekand.

I’ve made progress on my portfolio site done in Flash. I’m just deciding what art pieces I should put in the gallery. So that will be up soon. Well I’m gonna finish up some laundry.

Winter Break!!!!

FREAK YES!!!!! Lol Omg I’m done with the Fall quarter and I’m soooooo flippin relieved. I needed a break. I just checked my grades and guess what…..you guessing??….I got all A’s hehe Woooo. I worked so hard on my finals. I’m glad all that work pulled off. I can’t put up the TaleSpin Tribute video I did for my Desktop Video class on the internet because I don’t have the license to use it but my teacher loved it and so did my friends. It was really stupid but funny. I can however post my flash final up. I think. I’ll find a way and even if I can’t, trust me, I’ll have a flash site up soon. So look forward to that :D.

So I think my past few blogs have said that I was sick. Well this one will be no different lol. I’m not really sick but I got a sick toe :(. I was bitten by some insect a few days ago and my second toe on my right foot got swollen and then in a couple of days the top of my foot was also swollen. It’s starting to go down now though. So I’m happy about that :D.

Well I’m off to see the Wizard. The wonderful wizard of Oz.
